Conservation & biodiversity

In its proposals, The Abbot’s Mill Project aims to support the protection and enhancement of habitats of native species through detailed design, specification and mitigation measures.

Canterbury Christ Church University (Ecology Research Group), The Durrell Institute of Conservation and Ecology (UKC), the Woodland Trust, The Conservation Volunteers, Kent Mammal Group, Kent Bat Group, Kent Reptile and Amphibian Group, Friends of Westgate Parks and Friends of Hambrook Marshes are all partners and supporters of this project. We will continue to work closely with these groups, as well as with Canterbury City Council, Kent County Council and the Environment Agency, as experts in the fields of conservation and biodiversity.
