Volunteering

As our project develops, we are always keen to receive the support of volunteers. There are a number of opportunities from helping with admin, events organising, our education programme to working on our habitat restoration programme – depending on your interests and availability.

The first step is to come along to one of our Volunteer Action mornings. These are on the first Saturday of every month from 10am (until 12noon or 1pm depending on work needing doing and the weather).

You are welcome to join us to find out more about the project, meet like-minded people and find out if there is any other way in which you could get involved!

We are always looking for people with interests and skills in the following areas:

Renewable energy, micro-generation and hydrology
Engineering
Environmentalism
Veganism and animal (including humans!) rights
Campaigning·
Permaculture
Local history
Archaeology
Wildlife, conservation and biodiversity
Funding/fundraising
Marketing and promotion, including updating the website and social networking pages/feeds
Education, running workshops
Community engagement
Research projects
Admin, helping with day to day running of the project (e.g. taking minutes at meetings, replying to enquiries, co-ordinating workshops and meetings)

and many more…

If you are interested in finding out more, please email Jo Kidd.
